I am happy to share that this month I completed my Yoga Teacher Training at Cleveland Yoga and am now a CYT/RYT 200! I am so excited to share what I’ve learned and start teaching this summer with virtual and in-person classes.
In my program, I trained in the Baptiste style yoga and focused on the foundations and principals of Baptiste Yoga that are both physical and mental. As a dancer, I have mainly practiced yoga for its physicality and asa way to train my body to increase my strength and flexibility. However, now the practice has opened up for me as more than just the asana (or poses). Yoga can go far beyond shapes and forms when the practice and exercise of the poses are paired with mediation and self-inquiry/discovery. And now after months of learning and exploring, not only do I feel like I have gotten stronger physically, but I feel that I have learned a lot more about myself and am becoming more intelligent about the relationship between the mind and body.
